What makes Piss Missile golf balls different?
These golf balls are designed purely for maximum distance and straighter shots. In researching the distance golf balls available on the market, we found they fell into two major categories; 2-piece golf balls (also known as 2-layer) or golf balls with urethane outer layers. 2-piece golf balls lack spin control, resulting in high trajectory with greater slices & hooks. Urethane covers are great for control around the green and high lofted shots, but the softer material reduces distance, increases club face contact for increased spin, and increases wind resistance. The 4-piece construction and hard, surlyn outer layer of Piss Missiles combine the best design elements for longer, straighter shots.
What is a distance golf ball?
The simple answer is distance golf balls are designed to travel farther than other golf balls. The design of these balls differs, but generally with the goal of high energy transfer from the swing and reduced spin for ideal flight trajectory and straighter shots. Components of the golf ball that affect distance include the compression level of the core (high vs. low), number of layers, number & shape of dimples, the material of the outer layer or covering, size, and weight. A high compression core creates more energy transfer. 4 piece golf balls have less spin compared to 3 piece and 2 piece golf balls. The number and shape of dimples affect the aerodynamics and wind resistance of a golf ball. Smaller and heavier golf balls travel further with decreased wind resistance. The USGA has a maximum allowed weight of 1.62oz and minimum allowed size of 1.68 inches.
What is a 4 piece golf ball?
A 4-piece golf ball refers to the number of layers in the construction of the ball. In general, these layers consist of the outer layer or covering, a thin layer inside the covering to reduce spin, and a two layer core construction to increase energy transfer and further reduce spin.
Is this golf ball legal by USGA standards?
All Piss Missile Golf Balls meet all standards of the USGA (The United States Golf Association).
Are there other colors besides yellow available?
We have one year round color available for the original Piss Missile Golf Balls, and that is Piss Missile yellow. Every summer, we have a limited release white version available for a limited time. Rainmaker Golf Balls are available in white year round.
Are these golf balls numbered?
Piss Missile golf balls are not numbered. Instead, we have our own system to identify which ball you're playing. The original Piss Missile Golf Balls have four unique phrases with three of each in every 12 pack of golf balls. Rainmaker Golf Balls have greek letters to identify your ball.

Nope! The original Piss Missiles are designed for pure distance, so we wanted to create a golf ball on the opposite end of the spectrum for high spin and control. If longer, straighter shots are what you are looking for, go with our original Piss Missile Golf Balls. However, if you're looking for control, shot shaping, and high lofted tee shots that land and stick, the Rainmaker is the golf ball for you.
